Will this gauge work with any hydraulic system, or are there specific systems it's made for?

gauge comes dry from the factory -- can it be converted to liquid filled or do I need to buy a different one?

Dry gauges like this one can be converted using silicone fill Kit #9046, sold separately. That kit is specifically compatible with most dry gauges in this line, so you would not need to purchase a whole new unit just to get liquid fill. Worth knowing if you're working in a high-vibration setup where liquid fill helps dampen needle movement and extends service life.
