Does this wiper ring fit a 0.62 inch rod, or is that just the nominal size? Want to make sure before I order.

The rod diameter for this ring is 0.623 inches, so it's right at 0.62 inch nominal. The groove outside diameter comes in at 0.885 inches. As long as your cylinder matches those dimensions, you're looking at the right part.

The key callout is rod diameter A at 0.623 inch, so it matches a rod right around 0.62 inch. The groove OD (B) is 0.885 inch, so the housing groove also needs to be sized to that OD for the wiper to seat correctly.
