got a hose end that’s -8 JIC, and the port on the block is 3/8 NPT. is this the straight adapter to tie those together?

For tying those two thread types together in a straight run, this adapter is a -08 male JIC 37 degree flare on one end and a 3/8 inch male NPT on the other. The JIC side seals metal to metal on the 37 degree flare seat, and the NPT side uses the tapered pipe thread fit.
