got a 1-1/2 camlock setup, is this the dust plug that goes in the female coupler when we’re not using it

For closing off an open female cam and groove coupler, this 1-1/2 inch aluminum dust plug is the piece that inserts into the coupler and lets you lock it in by pushing the cam levers down.

can this dust plug be used on an air compressor line or pneumatic fittings?

Cam and groove couplings in this product family are not rated for compressed air or steam service under any circumstances. The ALDP-150 is built for liquid applications only. Running it on an air line would be outside its intended use and could create a safety hazard.

How do I hook this dust plug up to a cam and groove fitting? Just press it in, right?

Simply slide the adapter into the coupler and press the cam levers down with normal hand pressure to couple it. To uncouple, lift the cam arms and remove the adapter.
