Hey, I'm trying to swap out a coupler on my rig. Just making sure this 1-1/2 inch female NPT will fit right up.

This aluminum cam and groove coupler is designed to interchange with any product made to A-A-59326 or DIN 2828 standards, with the exception of 1/2" and 8" sizes. So, if your existing coupler meets those specs, it should be a direct replacement.

i’ve got a 1-1/2" female NPT line, is this the right cam lock half for it or am i mixin things up

For a 1-1/2 inch female NPT threaded connection, this coupler is the female cam and groove half with a 1-1/2 inch female NPT end, so the thread side matches that size.

does this thing work with compressed air lines? got a setup where we swap between air and liquid depending on the job

Cam and groove couplings like this one are strictly for liquid service. Using them on compressed air lines is not safe and goes against the product's rated application. If your setup switches between air and liquid, you'd need a different coupling type for the air side of that work.
