What size is this sleeve? I need to make sure it fits over my hydraulic hose.

The inside diameter of this nylon abrasion protection sleeve is 2.38 inches. Be sure to account for the outside diameter of your hose and any fittings when determining fit.

got a 2.38 inch hose, do i just slide this sleeve over it and zip tie the ends?

For install, it’s a smooth-bore nylon sleeve that slips over hoses, chains, cables, or springs, then you secure it with nylon cable ties or band-clamps. The nominal inside diameter on this one is 2.38 inches.

got a couple hydraulic hoses running through a metal bracket opening and they keep wearing through -- would this sleeve handle that kind of situation?

Bundling hoses inside this sleeve and routing them through metal openings is actually one of the applications it's built for. The nylon filaments friz as they wear against hard edges, building up a thicker protective layer over time rather than just thinning out. It's rated for up to 250 degrees F ambient, so heat from the surrounding environment won't be an issue in most industrial setups. Secure it with nylon cable ties or band-clamps and it'll stay put through the opening.
