trying to slide this over a 2 inch hose, is 2.07 ID gonna be the right size or am i asking for a fight

The key number is the nominal inside diameter of 2.07 inches. That size is meant to slip over hoses and similar items with an outside diameter up to about that range, and it is a smooth-bore sleeve so it goes on easier than rougher weaves.

does this sleeve hold up when its rubbing against metal edges all day, or is it gonna wear through pretty quick?

Wear is actually part of how this sleeve works. The nylon filaments friz as they get scuffed, which builds up a thicker protective layer over time rather than just thinning out.
