Product Questions & Answers

got a 1.59 inch hose, is this sleeve sized to slip over it or is that ID measured some other way
Question by: Floyd C on Dec 31, 2025, 7:32 AM
For this sleeve, the nominal inside diameter is 1.59 inches, so it is intended to fit over a hose, cable, chain, or spring with about that outside size. It is a smooth-bore woven nylon sleeve, so you slide it over and then secure the ends with nylon cable ties or band clamps.

does this sleeve work for bundling multiple hoses together or is it just meant for single hose protection
Question by: Judy M on Jan 18, 2026, 11:52 AM
Bundling is actually one of the stronger use cases for this sleeve. You can run two or more hoses through it and keep them grouped along the same path. One added benefit when you do that is all the hoses in the bundle develop the same flex memory over time, which helps reduce uneven wear across the group. It installs easily and can be secured with nylon cable ties or band clamps once everything is routed the way you need it.

Question by: Frank B on Oct 18, 2025, 7:28 PM
For securing the Nylon Abrasion Protection Sleeve, nylon cable ties or band clamps will work well. The product description mentions these as suitable options.
Answer by: Customer Support on Oct 19, 2025, 8:19 PM
trying to keep a couple hydraulic hoses from rubbing on a bracket, is this sleeve meant for that kind of deal?
Question by: Jimmy C on Aug 26, 2025, 11:56 AM
For abrasion control and added safety, it slips over hoses and takes the scuffing instead of the hose cover. It is also used to deflect hot hydraulic fluid spray if a hose fails, and it helps hoses last longer in rough, abrasive spots.
