Got a metric DIN tube on one end and an NPT port on the other, need to make a 90 degree turn between em, this the right piece for that?

That's exactly the situation this adapter handles. One end is M16 x 1.5 male DIN tube, the other is 1/2-14 NPTF male NPT, and the elbow shape gives you that right-angle transition between the two.
