Will this fitting work with standard hydraulic setups, or is it for something special?

It's designed to connect a 1" JIC female end to a DIN tube male end, so as long as your system uses those fittings, it should work just fine.

Got a line running M36 x 2.0 DIN tube fittings on one end and need to tie into a JIC system on the other. This fitting do that job?

That's exactly what this one handles. One side is a female 1-inch JIC connection with a 1-5/16-12 UN thread, and the other is a male M36 x 2.0 DIN tube end. Straight body, no adjustable ends, so it's a fixed-orientation connection. If your line dimensions match those specs, it drops right in between those two systems without any adapters stacked on top of it.

You’re looking at a straight steel adapter with a female 1 inch JIC end (1-5/16 - 12 UN thread callout) and a male DIN tube end called out as M36 x 2.0 (DIN 2353L, size L28).
