trying to hook a 3/8 jic hose up to a metric din tube end, is this the right adapter?

One end is a female JIC fitting with a 9/16-18 UNF thread, which corresponds to a 3/8" JIC size. The other end is a male DIN tube fitting with an M16 x 1.5 thread at L10 sizing. So you're bridging a standard 37-degree flare JIC connection on one side to a metric DIN tube connection on the other, all in one straight adapter.
