Got a metric DIN tube connection on one end and a JIC fitting on the other side of my line, is this the adapter that bridges those two?

That's what this one does. Side 1 is a 3/8" JIC male with a 9/16-18 UNF thread, and Side 2 is a male DIN 2353L metric tube connection sized at L12 with an M18 x 1.5 thread. So if you're tying a JIC line into a metric DIN port, this adapter handles that transition straight out of the box with no additional sealant or check valve needed.

trying to swap a metric line over to JIC, is this the one with 9/16-18 on one end and M18x1.5 on the other?

For a metric to 37 degree flare hookup, it matches that combo: Side 1 is a male JIC with 9/16-18 UNF threads (3/8 size), and Side 2 is a male DIN 2353L tube end with M18 x 1.5 threads (L12).
