got a line running M12 x 1.0 metric DIN tube on one end and need to tie into a JIC fitting on the other, this the right adapter for that?

That's what this one's built for. One side is a male JIC with a 7/16-20 UNF thread at 1/4" size, and the other side is a male DIN tube connection running M12 x 1.0 in LL08 size. Steel construction, straight body, no adjustability. If both your existing fittings match those specs, this drops right in.

trying to swap out a fitting, is this one the straight MJIC 1/4 to metric DIN tube deal with the M12 x 1.0 threads?

It matches a male JIC end with 7/16-20 UNF threads in a 1/4 inch size on one side, and a male DIN 2353L tube end with M12 x 1.0 threads in LL08 size on the other. It is a straight steel connector.
