fitting's got a 7/16-20 JIC on one end -- what's the thread spec on the other side?

The opposite end is an M8 x 1.25 male metric port. So you've got a standard JIC male on one side and a metric male thread on the other, both in a straight configuration. That's the whole purpose of this adapter, bridging those two thread types in a single compact piece.

trying to swap a line over, is this the adapter with 7/16-20 JIC male on one end and an M8 x 1.25 male metric port on the other?

For fit checks, match the ends to the callouts: side 1 is a male JIC, 7/16 - 20 UNF thread with a 1/4 inch size, and side 2 is a male metric port, M8 x 1.25 (8x1.25).
