got a Permco pump on the bench. is this thrust plate adjustable at all or is it fixed?

Fixed setup is what you get here. The Permco thrust plate is not adjustable, so it goes in as a set-position component.

part number 947-01105, is that the same thing as the C1LX68, or are those two different parts?

Same part, different number. C1LX68 is an alternate part number that cross-references to 947-01105. Permco uses both, so either one will get you to the right thrust plate.
