both ends are 3/4-16 UNF female JIC, right? just want to make sure before i order a couple of these

Correct on both counts. Each end is a 3/4-16 UNF female JIC in 1/2" size, so you've got matching connections on either side of the 90-degree turn. Steel construction throughout, and the overall footprint is pretty compact at 31mm on each leg.

trying to swap out an old 90 elbow, is this one the swivel style with female JIC on both ends in 1/2?

Built as a 90 degree elbow with a swivel, it uses female JIC connections on both sides. Both ends are 1/2 inch size with a 3/4-16 UNF callout, so it matches that common JIC 1/2 setup end to end.
