Got a hydraulic line running JIC on one end and JIS on the other, this straight adapter the right call for tying those two together?

That's what this fitting handles. One end is a 3/4" male JIC with a 1-1/16-12 UN thread, and the other is a 3/4" male JIS with a G 3/4-14 threading. Both sides are male, so you'd need female JIC and female JIS ports on your lines for it to seat up right. Steel construction, straight profile, no angles or offsets involved.
