Got a Kobelco excavator with an 18mm port and need to tie it into a standard JIC hydraulic line, this the right fitting for that?

That's what this adapter is built for. One end threads into your 18mm Kobelco port using the L22 Special connection, and the other end is a 3/4" Male JIC with a 1-1/16-12 UN thread. Steel construction, straight body, no angle to it. If your JIC line and that Kobelco port are the sizes listed, you're good to go.

trying to hook a 3/4 jic hose up to a kobelco port, is this the right adapter or am i off a size

Match it up by the thread and port callouts. Side 1 is a 3/4 inch Male JIC with 1-1/16-12 UN threads, and side 2 is an 18mm Male Kobelco port listed as L22 Special, so it’s meant for that exact JIC-to-Kobelco transition.
