trying to replace a fitting, is this one the straight adapter that goes from 9/16-18 UNF male JIC (3/8) over to a 1/2 female BSPP swivel?

For a fit check, the connections on this part are a 9/16-18 UNF male JIC on one side in 3/8 size, and a 1/2 female BSPP swivel on the other side. It is a straight steel fitting.

Got a line running JIC on one end and BSPP on the other, will this fitting bridge that gap without needing an extra adapter in between?

That's exactly what it's built for. One end is a 3/8" male JIC with a 9/16-18 UNF thread, and the other is a 1/2" female BSPP swivel. So yeah, it connects those two standards directly, no additional adapter needed in between.
