I need to hook up some metric stuff to a standard NPT thread, reckon this would do the trick?

got a pump port that’s M14 x 1.5 male and my hose end is 3/8-18 nptf, is this the right little adapter?

For that exact thread match, you’re in the right ballpark. One side is M14 x 1.5 male metric, and the other side is a 3/8 inch 18 NPTF female port, so it bridges those two standards inline.

Got a metric port on a pump housing and need to tie into a 3/8 NPT line. This fitting do that job?

That's what this one's built for. One end is M14 x 1.5 male metric, the other is 3/8"-18 NPTF female, so you'd thread the metric end into your pump housing and connect your NPT line on the other side. Straight body keeps everything in-line, and at 36.6mm long it stays pretty compact in tight quarters.
