trying to hook a 1/4 nptf hose end into a port that’s m10 x 1.0. is this the right little adapter?

Use-case wise, it’s meant for exactly that kind of cross-thread hookup. One end is M10 x 1.0 male metric, and the other end is 1/4 - 18 NPTF female, so it lets a 1/4 NPTF male fitting thread into the adapter while the adapter threads into an M10 x 1.0 port.
