got a hose end that’s 1 inch JIC, and the other side on the machine is komatsu 16mm. is this the straight adapter for that?

For that kind of hookup, it matches a 1 inch male JIC on one end and a 16mm female Komatsu connection on the other, in a straight steel body.

Got a Komatsu machine that takes a 16mm female fitting and need to tie it into a 1" JIC line. This adapter gonna bridge that gap straight up?

Yeah, that's exactly what it's built for. One end is a 1-inch male JIC with a 1-5/16-12 UN thread, and the other side is a solid female Komatsu at 16mm. The connection is straight, no offset, so it threads right in without any angular adjustment needed. Steel construction, 54.5mm overall length, and a 41mm wrench flat on the JIC side to give you a solid grip during installation.
