Will this here fitting work to connect a JIC hose to a metric standpipe?

Yeah, this fitting is designed to adapt between a JIC (3/4 - 16 UNF) connection and a 14mm DIN standpipe. Should do the trick for ya.

trying to swap a fitting out, is this one a straight adapter from 1/2" JIC male over to a 14mm DIN standpipe female?

For matching up two different standards, it’s a straight steel adapter with a male JIC on side 1 and a female DIN standpipe on side 2. Side 1 is 1/2 inch JIC with a 3/4-16 UNF thread, and side 2 is a 14 mm DIN standpipe connection.
