got a 3/8 JIC male fitting on a hydraulic line and need to tie into a metric port that's M18 x 1.5 female DIN tube. this the right adapter for that?

That's what this adapter does. One end is a 3/8" JIC male with a 9/16-18 UNF thread, and the other is a female DIN tube connection sized M18 x 1.5 (S10). Steel construction, straight configuration, 45.1mm total length. Solid fit for that crossover connection.

That's correct. The adapter features a 3/8" JIC male connection on one side and a M18 X 1.5 metric female Din Tube connection (S10) on the other.
