got a metric DIN tube fitting on one end and a JIC on the other side of my line - will this adapter bridge those two together?

That's what this one's built for. One end is a 7/16-20 UNF male JIC connection, which is your 1/4" JIC side, and the other end is an M14 x 1.5 female DIN tube port. Steel construction keeps it solid in industrial use, and the straight profile makes the installation pretty clean without needing extra hardware or adjustment.
