fitting's stainless steel right? want to make sure it ain't gonna rust out on me running it outdoors

Stainless steel construction all the way through on this one. The Dura-Kote plating adds another layer of corrosion protection on top of that, so outdoor exposure and moisture aren't going to eat through it the way they would a standard carbon steel fitting.

Yes, it's designed to be compatible with Thermo R8 hose that has a 0.375-inch internal diameter.
