Got a piece of equipment running metric fittings on one end and JIC on the other, does this adapter go male to male on both sides, or is one of them female?

Both ends are male on this one. The JIC side is a 1/2-20 UNF thread at 5/16" size, and the metric side is M12 x 1.5 at 12mm. So you'd be threading this into female receivers on both ends of your line. Straight configuration, no bends or offsets.
