On the metric side you are getting a male M10 x 1.0 connection, listed as 10mm.

Part number 9068-04-10, does one side connect to a 7/16-20 JIC fitting and the other hook up to an M10 x 1.0 metric port?

That's what you've got. Side 1 is a male 1/4" JIC with a 7/16-20 UNF thread, and Side 2 is a male metric 10mm with an M10 x 1.0 pitch. The seal is already built into the metric side, so you're bridging those two thread standards in one straight steel piece without needing extra hardware to make it leak-free.
