got a hose end thats 1/4 jic male, will this elbow thread right onto it?

The JIC side on this elbow is a 1/4 inch male JIC with a 7/16-20 UNF thread callout, so it matches up with a 1/4 JIC female swivel.

Correct on both counts. The JIC side runs a 7/16-20 UNF thread, and the connection type is a standard male JIC at 1/4". If your hose end or port is spec'd to that same callout, you're good to go.
