Got a hydraulic line running BSPP on one end and JIC on the other, does this fitting make that connection work, or do I need something else in between?

Yeah, that's exactly what this adapter is built for. One side is male BSPP at G 3/8 - 19, and the other is female JIC at 9/16 - 18 UNF. Both threads are 3/8" nominal size, so if your line has a male JIC end, it plugs straight into the female JIC side, and the male BSPP end threads into your BSPP port. No extra fittings needed in between.
