both ends are the same G 1/4-19 thread, right? just trying to make sure i ain't gotta deal with an adapter on top of an adapter

Correct on both counts. The male and female ports are both G 1/4-19 BSPP, same size and thread type all the way through. You get a straight 90-degree turn without any thread conversion happening. If your line is already running 1/4" BSPP, this fitting keeps everything consistent and just redirects the flow path.
