Got a hydraulic line running BSPP on one end and JIC on the other, does this fitting make that connection at a 90 degree turn?

That's what it's built for. One side is a male JIC 7/16-20 UNF and the other is a male BSPP G 1/4-19, so it bridges those two thread standards while changing direction 90 degrees. Both sides are 1/4 inch nominal size, so flow path sizing stays consistent across the connection.
