Got a British system pump on one end and an NPT fitting on the other, will this adapter bridge those two without needing some kind of middle piece?

That's what this one does. One side is a 1-inch female BSPP (G 1-11 thread) and the other is a 1-inch female NPTF (1-11.5), so it connects those two thread standards directly. No extra fittings needed in between. It's a straight adapter, steel construction, and comes in at just under 49mm long, so it fits in tighter spots without much fuss.
