trying to hook two G 1/8 - 28 female ports together without changing anything, is that what this coupling does?

Built as a straight female to female adapter, it joins two same size BSPP connections with G 1/8 - 28 threads on both ends, so you can connect two female BSPP ports or lines inline without changing thread size or direction.

both ports on this thing are female BSPP, right? just want to make sure before i order it for joining two female-threaded lines

Correct on both counts. Each end carries a G 1/8 - 28 female BSPP thread, so the whole point of this coupling is to bridge two female-threaded ports or lines of the same size without any direction change or thread conversion. Straight body, same thread on each side, female throughout.
