got a piece of equipment running 3/4 BSPT fittings that needs to tie into a 1/2 NPT female port, this adapter do that job?

That's what this one's built for. The male end is R 3/4 - 14 BSPT and the female end accepts 1/2 - 14 NPTF, so you'd be threading the male side into your BSPT port and connecting your 1/2 NPT male fitting into the female end. Straight configuration, steel construction, and it comes from Adaptall so the threading tolerances are solid. Should drop right into that application without any fuss.

got a hose end that’s R 3/4-14 BSPT on one side and i need to tie into a 1/2-14 NPTF port. is this the right adapter?

Built for exactly that mix of threads, the adapter has a male R 3/4 - 14 BSPT on one end and a female 1/2 - 14 NPTF on the other, in a straight steel body.
