Product Questions & Answers

Got some British-threaded components I'm trying to tie into a North American hydraulic setup. This the kind of fitting that bridges that gap?
Question by: Neal S on Sep 26, 2025, 12:52 PM
Exactly what it's built for. The male end runs R 1/2 - 14 BSPT, which is the British standard taper thread, and the female end accepts a 1/2 - 14 NPTF, which is your North American pipe thread standard. Both sides are 1/2 inch, so you're getting a same-size conversion in a straight, inline configuration. No angled offset, no reducers needed. Steel construction, 45.2mm long, 27mm across the hex. Made by Adaptall under part number 9042-08-08.

Will this adapter handle standard hydraulic pressures without leaking?
Question by: Jimmy O on Jan 13, 2026, 10:11 AM
Designed to create a reliable connection between BSPT and NPTF threads, this steel adapter should perform well in typical hydraulic systems when properly installed.

got a valve with an R 1/2 - 14 BSPT port and my hose end is 1/2 - 14 NPTF, is this the right little adapter to marry them up
Question by: Ronnie R on Aug 19, 2025, 8:38 PM
Built for thread conversion, it connects a male R 1/2 - 14 BSPT on one side to a female 1/2 - 14 NPTF on the other, so it’s a straight way to join BSPT and NPT components when both ends are the 1/2 inch size.
