what's the difference in thread size between the two ends on this bushing?

One end is a 1/2 inch male BSPP thread with a G 1/2 - 14 callout, and the other is a 3/8 inch female BSPP thread with a G 3/8 - 19 callout. So you're stepping down half a size from one end to the other, which makes it useful when you need to connect a 1/2 inch male fitting into a 3/8 inch female port without swapping out larger components.
