Will this fitting work to connect a 1" female threaded pipe to a 1-1/4" male threaded pipe?

This bushing adapts between those sizes, yes, going from a 1-1/4" male BSPP thread down to a 1" female BSPP thread.

It adapts between BSPP threads with a 1-1/4 inch male on Side 1 (G 1-1/4 - 11) and a 1 inch female on Side 2 (G 1 - 11), in a straight steel bushing.

That's what this one's built for. The male side is 1-1/4 inch BSPP (G 1-1/4 - 11) and the female side accepts 1 inch BSPP (G 1 - 11), so you'd thread the male end into your existing 1-1/4 inch port and connect your 1 inch fitting into the female end. Steel construction, straight profile, 50mm wrench flat for tightening. Straightforward reducer bushing, no adapting between thread types involved.
