trying to hook a G 1-1/2 bspP male into a 1 inch npt port, is that what this adapter is for?

Built to bridge thread standards, it gives you a 1-1/2 inch male BSPP end with a G 1-1/2 - 11 callout on one side and a 1 inch female NPT end with a 1 - 11.5 NPTF callout on the other.
