got a pump port that’s G 3/4, and my hose end is 1/2 npt. is this the right little adapter to marry those up?

For converting between those two thread types, it matches what you described: one side is a 3/4 inch male BSPP with a G 3/4 - 14 callout, and the other side is a 1/2 inch female NPTF with a 1/2 - 14 callout.

Got a piece of equipment running a 3/4 BSPP port and I need to tie into a 1/2 NPT female line. This the right fitting for that?

Yeah, that's exactly what this adapter is built for. One end is a 3/4 inch male BSPP, which carries the G 3/4 - 14 thread spec, and the other end is a 1/2 inch female NPT with a 1/2 - 14 NPTF callout. So if you've got a male NPT fitting coming off your line, it'll thread right into the female end on this adapter. Steel construction, straight configuration, 43.4mm overall length. Should drop right into that application without any trouble.
