Product Questions & Answers

trying to tie into a port that’s G 3/4-14 on one side, will this adapter get me over to a 1/4-18 NPTF female?
Question by: Hubert C on Jun 11, 2025, 2:13 PM
Built for that exact thread change, it has a 3/4 inch male BSPP end (G 3/4-14) and a 1/4 inch female NPT end (1/4-18 NPTF), in a straight steel adapter.

Got a BSPP port on a hydraulic component and need to tie into a 1/4" NPT line. This adapter work for that?
Question by: Eddie S on Jan 8, 2026, 7:22 AM
That's exactly the situation this piece is built for. One end is a 3/4" male BSPP thread (G 3/4-14) and the other is a 1/4" female NPT (1/4-18 NPTF), so you'd be threading the BSPP end into your component and running your NPT line into the female end. Steel construction holds up fine in hydraulic circuit use. Just keep in mind you're stepping down from 3/4" to 1/4", so make sure that reduction works with your flow requirements before you button everything up.

Will this adapter handle hydraulic pressures without leaking, or is it more for lower-pressure applications?
Question by: Duane P on Jul 25, 2025, 10:22 AM
Constructed from steel, this adapter is well-suited for demanding hydraulic circuit environments where you need to connect British and North American thread standards.
