got a valve with a G 1/2 - 14 port and my hose end is 1/4 - 18 NPTF, is this the right adapter to marry those up?

For tying those two thread standards together, this adapter is made for exactly that combo: a G 1/2 - 14 male BSPP on one side and a 1/4 - 18 NPTF female on the other, in a straight steel body.
