Product Questions & Answers

Will this adapter hold up okay in a hydraulic system running at, say, 2000 PSI?
Question by: Gary J on Sep 21, 2025, 12:46 PM
Steel construction makes this adapter suitable for demanding industrial environments, especially where you need that pressure-tight mechanical seal between BSPP and NPTF threads in hydraulic lines.

Got a piece of equipment running BSPP ports and I need to tie into a half-inch NPT line. This the right adapter to make that work?
Question by: Pete R on Apr 18, 2025, 10:29 AM
For that exact situation, yes. One end is a 3/8" Male BSPP (G 3/8-19) and the other is a 1/2" Female NPT (1/2-14 NPTF). So you'd thread the BSPP end into your equipment's port and run your NPT line into the female end. The NPTF thread form on the NPT side is built for a pressure-tight mechanical seal, which makes it a solid choice for hydraulic lines where you can't afford a weeping connection.

got a hose end that’s G 3/8-19 BSPP male, will this let me hook into a 1/2-14 NPTF female port?
Question by: Larry H on Apr 13, 2025, 4:06 PM
Function-wise, yes. It is a straight steel adapter with a 3/8 inch Male BSPP (G 3/8-19) on one end and a 1/2 inch Female NPT (1/2-14 NPTF) on the other, so it is meant to bridge those two thread standards in a hydraulic connection.
