Product Questions & Answers

What's the deal with BSPP and BSPT? I'm guessing they don't just screw together, huh?
Question by: Howard W on Feb 26, 2026, 5:00 PM
Designed to bridge exactly this kind of connection, this adapter joins a male BSPP (parallel) to a female BSPT (tapered) thread, which otherwise wouldn't directly connect. It's a common issue in hydraulic systems where different thread standards are used.

Got a piece of equipment running G 3/8 BSPP on one port and the mating component only has a 1/4 BSPT female thread. this adapter gonna bridge that gap without needing anything else in between?
Question by: Floyd L on Nov 27, 2025, 7:55 AM
That's what this fitting is built for. One end is a G 3/8-19 male BSPP thread, and the other is an R 1/4-19 female BSPT. So if you've got a BSPP male port and need to accept a 1/4 BSPT male fitting coming in from the other side, this bridges those two standards in a single piece. The BSPP side seals with a bonded seal or O-ring face, and the BSPT female end uses thread taper to get its seal. No additional adapters needed for that specific transition.

got a G 3/8-19 male port on one side and need to tie into an R 1/4-19 female BSPT, is this the right adapter?
Question by: Todd S on Mar 15, 2026, 6:02 AM
For bridging those two thread standards, yes. This is a straight steel adapter with a G 3/8-19 male BSPP on one end and an R 1/4-19 female BSPT on the other, made for connecting BSPP (parallel) to BSPT (tapered) in hydraulic or industrial fluid systems.
