got two hoses with 1/2-20 UNF female JIC ends, will this union hook em together straight?

For joining two female JIC connections with 1/2 - 20 UNF threads, this straight swivel JIC x swivel JIC union is the right match. Both sides are female JIC, both callouts are 1/2 - 20 UNF, and it stays compact at 38mm long.

both ends on this thing are female JIC, that right? trying to connect two male JIC lines together and want to make sure I ain't reading it wrong

Correct on both counts. Each end carries a female JIC swivel connection with a 1/2-20 UNF thread, so it's built to mate with male JIC fittings on both sides.
