Reckon this would work to hook up a 3/4" line to a 1/2" one on my rig? Just need somethin' that swivels a bit for easier install.

For that setup, this adapter is a straight BSPP female swivel to female swivel reducer. Side 1 is G 3/4-14 female swivel, and side 2 is G 1/2-14 female swivel, so it steps you from 3/4 inch BSPP to 1/2 inch BSPP while keeping swivels on both ends.

Got a hydraulic line stepping down from 3/4 to 1/2 inch BSPP and both ends need to swivel for alignment, this the right fitting for that?

That's exactly what this adapter is built for. One end is a 3/4" BSPP female swivel (G 3/4-14) and the other is a 1/2" BSPP female swivel (G 1/2-14), straight through, no angle. The swivel on both sides lets you rotate each connection independently during assembly, which takes a lot of the frustration out of lining things up in tight spots. Steel construction, so it holds up in regular industrial hydraulic service without any fuss.
