what's the thread setup on both ends of this fitting, NPT on one side and something metric on the other?

One end is a 1/8-27 NPTF male thread, which is the standard tapered pipe thread common on most North American hydraulic equipment. The other end is a G 1/8-28 female BSPP swivel, which is the British Standard Parallel Pipe thread used widely on European and international components. So yeah, one side NPT, one side BSPP, straight configuration, both at 1/8 inch size.

trying to hook a 1/8 npt line up to a G 1/8 bspp port, is this the right adapter?

For converting between those two thread standards, it matches up as 1/8 to 1/8. Side one is a 1/8 to 27 NPTF male thread, and side two is a G 1/8 to 28 female BSPP swivel connection.
