got a hose end that’s 7/8-14 UNF JIC male, will this adapter mate up to it and still give me an M18 x 1.5 metric female on the other side?

Match the ends by thread callout and gender. One side is a 7/8 - 14 UNF male JIC, and the other side is an M18 x 1.5 female DIN tube fitting, so it is meant to bridge those two connection types.
