What's the size difference between the two ends on this fitting? One side looks bigger than the other in the picture.

You're reading that right. The male end is a 1/4" BSPP with a G 1/4 - 19 thread callout, and the female swivel end is a smaller 1/8" BSPP with a G 1/8 - 28 callout. So yeah, the two sides are different sizes, which makes this a reducing adapter. Useful when you need to step down from a 1/4" male port connection to a 1/8" female swivel connection in the same inline run.

i’ve got a hose end that’s G 1/8-28 female swivel. does this adapt it up to a G 1/4-19 male?
