Product Questions & Answers

So this thing connects different thread types, right? What kind of pressure can it handle?
Question by: Norm F on Jan 9, 2026, 12:09 PM
Assembled with steel, this adapter is suitable for standard hydraulic applications. However, pressure ratings aren't specified, so you'll want to verify it's appropriate for your system's requirements.

got a hose end that’s 1/2 JIC male, and the port on the block is 1/4 BSPT. is this the right adapter to tie those together?
Question by: Bobby J on Oct 12, 2025, 12:48 PM
For joining those two thread types, this adapter is the match. One side is a 1/2 inch JIC male with 3/4 to 16 UNF threads, and the other side is a 1/4 inch BSPT male with R 1/4 to 19 threads, so it bridges JIC to BSPT in a straight setup.

Got a machine running JIC lines that needs to tie into a BSPT port on an imported component. This straight adapter handle that kind of crossover?
Question by: Tony B on Nov 30, 2025, 3:19 PM
That's the kind of situation this fitting is built for. One end is a 1/2" JIC male with a 3/4-16 UNF thread, and the other is a 1/4" BSPT male running R 1/4-19 thread. Steel construction holds up fine in standard hydraulic service, and the straight configuration keeps the hydraulic connections simple when you've got a direct port-to-port connection to make.
